Flamingo Bay Water Lodge, a beautiful lodge which is very popular with South Africans, is situated on stilts in the crystal-clear waters of Flamingo Bay in the Indian Ocean. Located just 30 minutes' drive from the historical town of Inhambane, this stilted lodge is surrounded by some of the most spectacular coral reefs in the world.
The main lodge houses a cocktail bar, restaurant, lounge, library and a swimming pool. The lodge and setting are superb, but remember that you will not be the only one taking things slowly, as service can be expected in true African time!
With many water activities to choose from, you will not spend much time on dry land during your stay. Snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing, water sports, kayaking and dhow boating are all options, or you could visit the historic city of Inhambane for a day.
