Fly from Johannesburg to Pemba, the capital of Mozambique's exotic and little explored northern province. Spend your first night at the luxurious Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa, overlooking Wimbe Beach. For a taste of life on the mainland, visit the nearby port town with its crumbling colonial architecture and local craft market.

From Pemba you are transferred to Matemo for four leisurely days of island life. Just 8 km long and 3 km wide, Matemo is a magical destination with pristine beaches and clear, tropical sea supporting a host of colourful fish, Moray eels, turtles and dolphin.
Matemo's wide range of activities includes snorkelling unspoilt coral reefs, kayaking, going on a dhow cruise, windsurfing and water skiing. There are a number of prime scuba diving sites, and the protected Quirimbas waters are excellent for catch-and-release big game fishing. You can also visit fascinating Ibo Island, a short boat ride away. Top off your days' adventures with delicious dinners of fresh seafood.
On day 5 you will be transferred to Pemba, for your flight back to Johannesburg.
