- Days 1-2:Pemba, Northern Mozambique
- Itinerary
Fly from Johannesburg to the charming old coastal port town of Pemba, where your transfer awaits. Pemba Beach Hotel & Spa is beautifully positioned on one of the world's largest inland bays, overlooking the Indian Ocean and white sands of Wimbe Beach.
Spend your first couple of days around the salt-water rim-flow swimming pool, relaxing into holiday mode as you gaze out across ridiculously blue sea. If you're feeling more energetic, you can go windsurfing, water skiing or sailing, play a bit of beach volleyball, or go on a tour to learn about the history and culture of this age-old fishing village with its crumbling colonial architecture and local craft market.

- Days 4-8: Matemo Island
- Itinerary
Look forward to five days of island life. Matemo has plenty of land and water based activities; top of the list for many is the incredible diving and snorkelling. There are seven major scuba dive sites including a fascinating wreck dive, and even on snorkelling trips you'll be amazed at the diversity of marine life - with the chance of spotting turtle and dolphin. Big game fishing is another popular activity.
But life on a tropical island is also about finding your hammock or patch of sand, and happily watching the waves roll in while contemplating what to have for lunch. Although be sure to set aside a bit of time to visit nearby Ibo Island and see the ancient fort, beautiful cathedral and buy some local jewellery made from coins.
On day 8 you will be transferred to Pemba, for your flight back to Johannesburg.
