Nanatha Bay ends at a point known as Nuarro, formed from ancient coral rock which has eroded over time. Because it was the owners' dream that the lodge be built by local people using local materials, they decided to give it a local name "Nuarro".

The view over the bay from Nuarro Luxury Eco Lodge's beachfront chalets is amazing. The chalets were designed by a local French architect who developed traditional chalets in a sophisticated space so that you can enjoy the privacy of your African house while you sit on the spacious veranda. Here you can relax on the sun loungers or gaze at the blue sky as you gently swing in your hammock.

Nuarro Luxury Eco Lodge's Marine Activity Centre offers a wide variety of activities which include diving, snorkelling, whale and dolphin watching, dhow sailing trips, sea kayaking and fly fishing.

You can also take part in numerous land-based activities such as road tours to Ilha de Mozambique, Nacala Porto and Lurio Falls, a trip to the Baixo-do-Pinda lighthouse, eco-trails (by bicycle or on foot), bird watching, a cultural village tour and interactive activities with local Makua villagers.

At Nuarro Luxury Eco Lodge a panoramic restaurant and cocktail bar is located on the west end of the beach with a view to Nanatha Island Rock and the bay beyond. Fresh seafood and salads form part of a creative menu which incorporates traditional and international cuisine.

Chill out at the beach bar where light snacks can be enjoyed throughout the day, and guests gather for more lively parties in the evenings. The beach bar is located next to the Marine Activity Centre with a large joined wooden deck with a sea view and beach access.

Nuarro Luxury Eco Lodge consists of 12 luxury beachfront chalets that can accommodate a maximum of 24 to 44 guests - 10 of the chalets have optional twin beds upstairs for families.

Each chalet has an indoor and outdoor shower, lounge area, a large wooden veranda and a sun deck. A large mosquito net covers a super king size bed adorned with crispy white high quality linen.

Large doors and windows open up to magnificent bay views. The chalets are surrounded by lush dune vegetation, which creates a private sanctuary.
