Getting Around the Quirimbas

Although the Quirimbas Archipelago is a remote destination, flight access is now easily available. Flying low over a turquoise ocean studded with beautiful islands is sure to be a scenic highlight of your holiday.

From Pemba, on Mozambique's mainland, you are transferred in a 12-seater light aircraft (helicopter transfers are also available to Quilalea).

Be warned that there is a luggage restriction of 15kg, including hand luggage, packed in soft bags. Any excess luggage may be delayed and / or incur penalties.

• 25 minutes to Ibo Island
• 30 minutes to Matemo Island
• 45 minutes to Medjumbe Island
• 75 minutes to Vamizi Island

Boat and helicopter transfers also link Ibo Island with Matemo, Medjumbe and Vamezi islands.
