Depending on the activities you take part in, a stay in the Quirimbas Archipelago is going to be quite safe - although there are some of the hazards that come with holidaying in the tropics.

Malaria is prevalent throughout Mozambique so we'd strongly advise you check with your doctor or travel clinic for advice on anti-malarial prophylactics. Also decrease your chance of being bitten by wearing long sleeves and using insect repellent in the evenings, and always sleeping under a mosquito net.

A tropical climate can cause cuts to become infected easily, so don't walk barefoot on shorelines where there is dried coral on the beach.

Getting badly sunburnt can ruin a good beach holiday, so use sunblock with a high SP factor, and take a wide-brimmed sunhat.

No vaccinations are required when visiting Mozambique.
