Quirimbas Archipelago » Quirimbas Islands » Quilalea

Quilalea is immediately to the south of Ibo, and is the only malaria-free island in the archipelago.

This small, tropical paradise is completely uninhabited and, staying here, you easily get the feeling that you have the whole place to yourself.

The Quilalea Sanctuary was the first marine protected area in the Quirimbas. There is an incredible abundance of sea life in the surrounding ocean, and a coral reef just five metres from the main beach. Swim, snorkel, dive, fish, or go for long, leisurely stolls.

If this sounds like your kind of holiday, you can take a helicopter flight to the island, and stay in a villa at Quilalea Island Lodge.
