What to Pack for the Quirimbas

Generally the dress code on the Quirimbas islands is comfortable and informal, but you should include a few smart casual clothes for evening wear.

Pack light, as the luggage restrictions for light aircraft or helicopters is 15kg per person (including hand luggage) and you need to pack everything into soft bags that can be pressed into small spaces.

The list below is a guideline of what to take:

• Jacket for cool evenings (May to September)
• Smart casual evening wear
• Swimming costume / bikini
• Beach towel / sarong
• Sandal / reef shoes
• Sunglasses
• Strong sun block & lip balm
• Camera
• Binoculars for birdwatchers
• Insect repellent
• All personal medication including malaria prophylactic
