Pescador is a small guesthouse looking out over Mozambique's azure tropical ocean and the beautiful Bazaruto Archipelago. This convenient base is situated just a couple of kilometres from the airport, within walking distance of the fishing village of Vilanculos, and a short boat ride from the islands.

There is plenty to do in the area, and activities can be easily booked through the guesthouse. Go horse riding down Vilanculos beach, explore the vibrant colours and creatures under the sea with snorkelling and scuba diving trips, or set off on a sunset cruise on board an ancient dhow.

If you don't feel like strolling across the dirt road, and down to the main beach, you can always take a dip in the saltwater swimming pool. Pescador also has an upstairs viewing deck, which is a great venue for a refreshing drink, while taking in the views of the brilliant blue sea.

Pescador is located on the coast in Vilankulo, the gateway to Mozambique's Bazaruto Archipelago.

The restaurant at Pescador has a small but varied menu. The main focus is on seafood, which is hardly surprising considering Mozambique's well deserved reputation for delicious seafood dishes.

The dining room has dark wood furniture, Persian carpets, and opens onto the pool area. On warm evenings, of which there are many, we would suggest having your meals upstairs on the thatched viewing deck.

Pescador has 3 twin and 3 double bedrooms. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished with dark wood, crisp white linen, colourful paintings and splashes of citrus orange or lime green.

All the bedrooms are on the first floor, and have ocean views.
