Intimate beach getaway within a coastal wildlife sanctuary, offering under-stated elegance and simplicity.
On the Beach - all the chalets are within a minutes stroll of the beach.
Peace & Quiet - with only 10 chalets, you almost have the whole place to yourself.
Marine Life - the tropical waters are home to magnificent fish, dolphin and the nearly extinct dugong.
Relax and enjoy Dugong Beach Lodge situated on the tropical Indian Ocean coastline of Mozambique, within a marine and wildlife sanctuary. This is the perfect place for ultimate relaxation - besides kayaking, there really isn't much else to do than just kick off your shoes and unwind.
The sea is tidal, offering you the best of both worlds: sometimes you'll have a stunning beach stretched out before you, while at other times you can get straight into the water for a swim, from the very edge of your garden.
The bar is open daily, and offers poolside refreshments. The lounge is equipped with a TV monitor and a DVD player. There is a fresh-water swimming pool, and boardwalk jetty. The Gazebo on the jetty is a perfect setting for sundowners or private dinners.
It is worth noting that due to the remoteness of Dugong Beach Lodge, the power is obtained from a generator which does not operate 24 hours a day, so from time to there is no power. Also the water is obtained from a borehole and is slightly discoloured. Although the tap water is safe for drinking, mineral water is placed in the rooms daily.
LocationA luxury island lodge on the coast of Mozambique within the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary.
