Impalila Island Lodge is situated on an island where the Chobe and Zambezi rivers meet. From the air it is an amazing mosaic of waterways, floodplains and bushveld. On the ground, exceptional birdlife, game viewing and assorted vegetation abound. The waters provide for outstanding fishing opportunities.
The lodge can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests in 8 elevated chalets. The main complex facilities include a swimming pool, bar, curio shop, reference library, lounge and dining area all built under the canopy of an ancient baobab.
Many activities are offered at Impalila Island Lodge, such as game viewing and game cruises along the Chobe River with possible sightings of elephant, hippo, buffalo, lion, rare puku, Chobe bushbuck and many more.
Fly-fishing and conventional fishing from either a mokoro or motorised boat on the Zambezi, Chobe or Kasai Rivers offer tigerfish, bream and many other species.
There are mokoro trips for bird watching, fishing or just pure relaxation while exploring the nearby wild islands and waterways.
You can also enjoy day trips to the nearby Victoria Falls by charter or road transfers as well as specialist guiding and scenic charter flights over the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers and Impalila Island.
