Luxury tented camp situated on the north face of the Huab River valley.
Desert Comfort - offering all the comforts you need on an adventure in the Namibian desert.
Roaming Wildlife - see rare desert elephants, gemsbok, ostrich & other hardy wildlife.
Atmosphere - enjoy the star-studded African night sky from the warmth of the campfire.
Damaraland Camp is situated on the northern face of the Huab River valley and looking south toward the imposing Brandberg Mountains, and is rated as the most successful eco-tourism venture in Namibia.
Early morning mists generated by the clash between the icy Atlantic Ocean and the warm desert air of the Skeleton Coast, drift inland along the river sand canyon, providing sustenance to the flora and fauna of the Damaraland region.
This comfortable, friendly camp offers walks and 4x4 drives in one of the best wilderness areas in Namibia. Although wildlife is not concentrated, Damaraland Camp is situated where the rare desert elephant roams alongside gemsbok (oryx), springbok, ostrich, and other hardy desert animals. Rare succulent plants somehow manage to eke out an existence in this harsh countryside.
The main camp area is made from stone and houses the dining room and bar. Adjacent to the bar, you'll find the swimming pool where you can enjoy a refreshing swim after your activities.
The campfire at Damaraland Camp sets the atmosphere in the evening, and is the perfect place to relax with a drink after a day's game activities and watch the sunset. After dark, lanterns are lit to illuminate the walkways, and star gazers can enjoy an amazing, star-studded African sky.
When you aren't out enjoying game drives and guided nature walks, you can set out on a mountain bike to explore the area, or head out to Twyfelfontein where you can see the ancient Bushman rock art - a World Heritage Site.
Damaraland Camp is situated on the north face of the Huab River valley, within the Torra Wildlife Conservancy, in Namibia.
