Situated on a private game reserve bordering Etosha National Park lies the attractive thatched Ongava Lodge. Close to the game rich salt pans in the centre of Ongava Game Reserve, the lodge offers the full Etosha experience while providing great accommodation and service.

The luxurious lodge is a good base from which to explore Namibia's premier wildlife park, Etosha. Large herds of plains' game concentrate around the Etosha's waterholes in the dry season making for exciting game viewing. Game drives offer you the opportunity to see elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, springbok and a variety of other deer. Birdlife is also good with ostrich and raptors in abundance.

You also have the opportunity to enjoy night drives and nature walks on the private reserve, these activities are not allowed within Etosha itself. Ongava also offers you the chance of seeing both Black and White Rhino.

Between game viewing activities you can take a refreshing dip in the lodge swimming pool or visit the curio shop which stocks a large variety of souvenirs and African gifts.

Start your day with a full English and continental buffet breakfast which is served before your morning game drive.

Dinner at Ongava Lodge is a romantic affair, served in the main dining area under thatch, with a view over the camp's water hole, or on the dining deck under the stars. Your evening meal is buffet style with a selection of international cuisine and local game dishes.

Picnics in the bush and exotic lunches at the lodge are included in the highlights.

Ongava Lodge has 12 chalets which are built out of brick and thatch. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet, bath, shower and double hand basins. On hot summer days you can keep cool with air-conditioning in the rooms and overhead fans. The rooms' glass fronted doors lead out onto private covered verandas overlooking the bush.
