Hardap Region » Introduction

Hardap Region Map

Hardap is one of the thirteen regions of Namibia, and is home to the Hardap Dam - Namibia's largest man made lake. This dams the upper reaches of the Fish River to provide water for the nearby town of Mariental, as well as various other irrigation projects. The dam is surrounded by a small nature reserve in which there is a rest camp.
