The large and shallow Lake Liambezi lies between the Linyanti and Chobe rivers, about 60km south of Katima Mulilo. It's been a dry dustbowl since 1985, and its bed has been occupied by people and their cattle, but it covered 100 square kilometres when it was full.

Road access to Lake Liambezi is from Katima Mulilo, passing through the village of Signu where you get close to the lake.
