Kulala Wilderness Camp is located on a 21 000 acre private reserve near Sossusvlei, in the heart of Namibia's Namib Desert. The camp faces west, making it ideal for watching the sunset, and is built at the foot of a mountain, about 15km from Kulala Desert Lodge. Kulala Wilderness Camp is ideal for groups with their own guide and vehicle, or if you're on a self-drive safari.

The bar, reception area and main dining area are built from canvas with thatched roofing, and are linked to the tented suites by means of elevated pathways. At night lanterns light the main public area.

Nature drives take you out across the sparse landscape to explore the highest sand dunes in the world. The harsh terrain is arid and inhospitable and is often only accessible by 4x4 vehicles.

The crystal clear water of the Kulala Wilderness Camp swimming pool is a welcome relief from the high midday temperatures. Take the time between activities to relax here with a book or a drink.

Accommodation is usually booked on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, with activities and lunches laid on at an additional cost.

Accommodation is in the form of 10 en suite 'Meru' styled tents which are elevated on wooden decks. The interiors at Kulala Wilderness Camp are simple yet comfortable, and have solar-powered lighting and hot water.
