A luxury camping safari with a difference - you travel between camps on mountain bikes! This is truly the way to experience Namibia's solitude and silence, as well as its adventurous spirit. And at the end of a long day in the saddle, you are provided with serviced, spacious tents, designed to provide comfort in remote wilderness areas.
The style of accommodation takes you back to the great days of African exploration. Comfortable linen bedrolls on GI stretchers, with hurricane lanterns complement the atmosphere in pristine, wild camping areas. Separate toilet and shower 'bathrooms' with old-style tin bucket showers and basins and all amenities create simple serviced comfort. This Exploration also makes a direct contribution to the Save the Rhino Trust from guest fees.
- Days 1-2: Save the Rhino Camp, Ugab
- Itinerary
After arrival in Windhoek, you are met by your guides and drive to the stunning monolith of
Brandberg, on the banks of the Ugab River. You enjoy a warm-up ride of 40km to the Save the Rhino campsite, a pre-erected campsite under the shade of immense Acacia trees.
On Day 2 you ride to the old zinc mine, tackling steep climbs, thrilling downhills and the exhilarating challenges the route presents. Your afternoon is spent relaxing at the camp and exploring the Ugab Riverbed.
- Day 3: Damaraland Camp, Damaraland

Today you embark on the longest stage - a route of 90km through changing habitats to Damaraland Camp. This also creates a wonderful opportunity to come across elephant and rhino in the tracks, as well as view oryx, springbuck and giraffe.

Damaraland Camp Damaraland Camp is situated on the north face of the Huab River valley, within the Torra Wildlife Conservancy, in Namibia.

- Day 4: Palmwag Campsite, Damaraland

Damaraland has a desolate, volcanic landscape with small rock-strewn plains where glaciers
once moved. Your 80km ride traverses this incredible panorama and is the heart of black rhino country, creating a challenging but highly rewarding ride.
- Day 5: Palmwag Rhino Camp, Damaraland
- Itinerary
After a short exciting ride of 40km through rhino country, you then enjoy an afternoon tracking rhino on foot with the specialist Save the Rhino trackers. You end with sunset drinks, taking in the absolute and isolated beauty of Damaraland.
- Day 6: Transfer to Windhoek
