Wolwedans, meaning 'where the wolves dance' in Afrikaans, is situated in the heart of NamibRand Nature Reserve, just south of Sossusvlei. Perched on top of a dune plateau, the lodge overlooks the dunes in all directions.

The building style combines wooden structures with large canvas blinds, and windows that open up to the desert beyond. This reflects the ambiance of a tented camp, but provides the comfort and protection of a permanent building.

The main complex consists of 2 lounges, a number of sundowner decks, a fireplace, a tea deck, a library, the wine cellar and 2 dining rooms. All communal areas of the lodge open out onto verandas with superb views.

The scenic drives in open Land Rovers, and nature walks with resident field guides reveal the fascinating wonders of the desert - as do picnics in the wild, sundowners on the dunes and dinners by candlelight.

Also, enjoy hot-air ballooning, scenic plane flights to the Diamond Coast and Sossusvlei, hiking and mountaineering.
