Oshikoto is one of Namibia's thirteen administriative regions. Shaped roughly like a square, is is positioned in the northern centre of the country.
The Oshikoto region's northern parts are agricultural, while most economic activity in the southern parts is cattle rearing and mining. The Ndonga people have mined copper at Tsumeb since times long past.
