Sossusvlei Lodge is located directly adjacent to the entrance gate to the Namib-Naukluft Park, which makes it the most convenient stopover before visiting the park.

Among the facilities are the curio/souvenir shop, the freshwater swimming pool, as well as a bar that's open from 8am until late for softdrinks and alcoholic beverages.

A wide variety of mineral waters and cocktails are stocked to quench a 'desert thirst', as well as an extensive range of Southern Africa's finest wines. Well-known Namibian and German beers and schnapps are also stocked.

The buffet at Sossusvlei Lodge is presented outside on the terrace under the stars with a great view of the floodlit waterhole, a mere 50m away, where the local game comes to drink while you eat.

The 5-star cuisine covers the whole meal, from the chef's soup of the day, numerous entrées, the main course with its many choices of meats, game, vegetables and stir-fry, right through to a multitude of mouth-watering desserts along with cheese and biscuits to choose from.

If you have any special culinary requirements, the chefs will accommodate you.
