Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp is situated in the Namib Desert, just 20km from the Sossusvlei dunes.

The camp is built near the top of a mountain, making it a perfect location to enjoy the vast desert views while being sheltered from its harsh elements. There is a thatched living area where the lounge, bar and dining room are situated. A large veranda is perfect for taking in the unique desert views. An outdoor eating deck allows you to dine under the stars.

The Namib desert provides optimum conditions for star-gazing, and the camp has a platform and a powerful telescope for you to fully appreciate the night skies.

There are a number of activities offered which allow you to explore the surrounding desert and Sossusvlei dunes. Early morning excursions take you out to the dunes and 'vlei,' where you will be served a desert breakfast picnic under camel-thorn acacias in the dunes. Afternoon nature drives and walks around the reserve are offered, as well as optional night drives where you could spot bat-eared fox and aardwolf.

For a unique and adventurous desert experience, balloon safaris over the Namib are available.

Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp is situated 40km from Sesriem, the main gateway to the Namib-Naukluft Park and the dunes at Sossusvlei, Namibia.

In the mornings you can enjoy a desert breakfast picnic out in the Sossusvlei dunes under camelthorn acacias. Dinner can be enjoyed on the outdoor dining deck at the camp, allowing you to take in the desert sunsets and night skies.

Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp has 9 rock brick, timber and thatch chalets. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom with panoramic views. The chalets also have their own private plunge pools, providing relief from the desert heat.
