On the main road north of Windhoek just before Okahandja is the Von Bach Dam recreational resort, set on a lake ideal for aquatic sports and fresh water angling for carp, bream and bass.

Basic bungalows (bedding not supplied) and overnight camping sites are served by communal washing facilities. As Von Bach is so close to Okahandja there is no shop, restaurant or filling station, so bring everything you need.
