The small fishing village of Woltzkasbaken is about 30 km north of Swakopmund along the coast. The area offers some of the best angling in Namibia with kob, kabeljou and galjoen being the most popular light-tackle species.
The town has no tourist facilities and all of the houses are privately owned. However, the surrounding lichen fields, which thrive off the moisture from the mist that frequently shrouds the coast, are worth a look if you're in the area.
