- Day 1: Arusha to Manyara

You are met in the early afternoon by your guide and leave Arusha for the start of your safari. You are taken to the Manyara Serena lodge (approx 3hr15min), where you check in and have some time to relax before dinner.

- Days 2-3: Serengeti

After a leisurely breakfast you have a morning game drive in the Manyara National Park. Lunch is enjoyed back at the Manyara Serena Lodge before you make your way to the Serengeti (approx 4hr). An exciting few days of game viewing await you and there are sure to be plenty of excellent photo opportunities in this, the jewel in the crown of Tanzania's parks. In the evenings you have dinner back at the Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

- Day 4: Ngorongoro

Today you leave the Serengeti. You go for a game drive on your way out of the park and then on an excursion to Olduvai gorge, thought by many to be the cradle of humanity. Here you can see a cast of footprints made over 3 million years ago. After a picnic lunch you continue on to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge in time to freshen up and settle in before dinner (total driving time approx 3hr).

Today you travel to Tarangire National Park where you will have lunch at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge. In the afternoon you can enjoy a game drive in the reserve, home to thousands of elephant, large herds of antelope and an incredible diversity of birdlife.

Drive to Arusha with a picnic lunch en route. Here you board your flight to the Selous Game Reserve. You are met at the airstrip by your ranger and transferred the short distance to the Rufiji River Camp. Here you are accommodated in a double tent on the banks of the river.

- Day 10: Zanzibar

After your morning safari activity you are transferred back to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival you'll be transferred to Tembo House Hotel for 1 night on a bed & breakfast basis. Spend the remainder of your day exploring the fascinating coral city of Stone Town. This is also the best place for you to buy curios and mementos to take home.

Transfer to Mapenzi Beach Club for 3 nights in a garden-view room. Spend your days lazing on the perfect white beaches or swimming in the warm turquoise water. Zanzibar is renowned for its incredible diving, and the Mapenzi Beach Club has a variety of non-motorised watersports for you to choose from.
