General Restrictions

The following details relate to holders of adult normal passports (requirements for children may be different), if any other type of passport or travel document is held, entry requirements should be checked with the relevant embassy or consulate

Passport General

Required by all

Passport Validity

Passports must be valid for 6 months prior to expiry date

Visa General

The following DO NOT require a visa:

1) Nationals of Rwanda

2) For stays upto 90 days

a) Nationals of Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Congo, Germany, Kenya, Mauritius, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, United States & Uganda

Visa Notes

Visas are available on arrival, free of charge, for stays up to 3 months to:

a) Holders of British passports endorsed "British Citizen"

b) Nationals of Canada, Congo Dem Rep, Hong Kong (SAR), Germany, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, Uganda & United States

c) A visa for a stay of max 1 month to nationals of Burundi

Entry requirements may change from time to time and should be checked with the Embassy of Rwanda

Transit General

Required by all except those as noted above and:

1) Persons continuing their journey to another country on the same day
