Gorilla Nest hotel is a newly-renovated lodge set close to the Parc National des Volcans. The park is part of the Virunga Conservation Area, which is home to around 380 mountain gorillas. The old Virunga volcanoes tower up almost 15,000 feet, and are virtually covered with rich, green rainforest. On a clear day the views from the lodge across to the volcanoes and surrounding hills are spectacular.
