Home to the largest seed in the world referred to colloquially as the "Love Nut”, and with a beach on the enchanting North Island called "Honeymoon Beach”, it's little wonder that the Seychelles can provide your perfect tropical island honeymoon.

With more than 100 islands of the Seychelles Archipelago to choose from, you can spend days island-hopping from one to another discovering various rare birds, fauna, lush flora and, of course, deserted coves ideal for romantic beach picnics.

Explore the island that you're on by bicycle. La Digue is perfectly suited to this, with quiet roads (little traffic besides the ox wagons) and heavenly beaches to stop at for a swim or snorkel.

There is also the magical undersea world to be explored, with the diving in the Seychelles often described as some of the best in the world. Fishing is spectacular too - even if you just use it as an excuse to cruise among the uninhabited islands.

Of course, you could just recline under a palm tree on your island hideaway with a cocktail to toast the sunset and your new life together, with the knowledge that you can return to your secluded chalet embellished with that barefoot luxury the Seychelles does so well.
