When to visit Seychelles is relatively easy as the weather is generally good all year round. However the best time to go can be determined by your preference for certain activities.

Sailing can be done all year round and is a marvellous way to visit the scattered islands of the Seychelles.

Although scuba diving is excellent all year round, April, May, October and November have the highest visibility and calmest seas.

October to April is the best time for anglers to go to Seychelles, although fishing is possible all year round.

For birdwatchers April is the start of the breeding season and Bird Island will be found to be overrun with seabirds from May through September.

May to September is the best time to go to Seychelles for hiking and walking because of the dry conditions, lower temperatures and lower humidity.

Although you'll still get your dose of sunshine during June, July and August the sea is often choppy and some resorts on the southern coasts of Mahe and Praslin may be affected by seaweed on their beaches. When this occurs, affected hotels sweep their beaches regularly and arrange complimentary shuttles to other beaches. Speak to your Africa Travel Expert about which hotels are usually affected.
