Denis Island, a 375-acre coral island set amid the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and once a pirate's lair, is covered with lush tropical foliage, edged with powder-soft beaches.

The private villas are metres from the ocean and discreetly situated among the exotic gardens. The main area provides a well-stocked bar, informal and comfortable lounge area, and a restaurant that extends onto the beach.
