Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie is hidden away on La Digue, which is said to be one of the most unspoiled islands in the Seychelles chain. There is only one five-mile-long road on this remote, granite island so the best way to get around is by foot, by bicycle or on an "ox-taxi".



This is a quiet holiday getaway with a slow pace of life. The 10 self-catering bungalows overlook beautiful gardens, and are conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the beach and close to the supermarket. You can also buy fresh fish from the local market.



Spend your days snorkelling, fishing, sunbathing, discovering secluded coves and going for long beach walks. If you're feeling more energetic you can hire a mountain bike and explore the paths and trails around this exotic island; visit the museum at L'Union Coconut Plantation, spot the endangered black paradise flycatcher or go to Anse Source d'Argent - one of the most photographed beaches in the world with its white sand and dark granite boulders.

There is no restaurant at Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie, as all the bungalows are self-catering. You can buy groceries at the local supermarket, fresh seafood at the fish market, or if you don't feel like preparing your own meal there is a selection of restaurants on the island.

Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie comprises 10 identical duplex-style bungalows. The spacious suites cover 70m² with an upstairs bedroom, downstairs lounge area and fully equipped kitchen. Bungalows are tastefully furnished with ornate, dark wood furniture.

There is plenty of space both inside and out. The upstairs bedroom has a balcony overlooking the gardens, while the lounge leads onto a spacious terrace. You have the choice of a bath in the en-suite bathroom, or an outdoor, private shower sculptured into the granite rock.

For those on a family holiday; a child's bed and baby cot can be organised upon request.
