Morne Seychellois National Park is on Mahé island and contains the highest peak in Seychelles - the Morne Seychelles at 905m above sea level.
Established in 1979 and covering 30km2, the park allows visitors to experience the wonder of the indigenous fauna and flora of Mahé. Parks and trails wind through the park, with marked routes and maps available, and these are probably the best way to experience the Morne Seychellois National Park.
There are some glorious landscapes to see, as well as the ruins of old cinnamon distilleries in the valley of la mare aux cochons and of the first school for freed slaves' children at mission.
