Villas de Mer occupies a prime site on a beautiful stretch of beach on the west coast of Praslin Island. The hotel has recently been completely renovated, and also has a new swimming pool with comfortable pool loungers.

There is plenty to do on Praslin, the second largest Seychelles island. Take a long walk on the beach, swim in the crystal clear waters, explore the underwater world of colourful coral reefs or visit the national park to see the unusual 'coco de mer' palms.

Deep sea fishing, scuba diving and excursions to the neighbouring islands of Aride, Cousin, Curieuse and La Digue can also be organised (on payment of a supplement). Villas de Mer is a 5-minute drive from the Lémuria Hotel, which has the island's only 18-hole golf course.

Seaweed is removed daily from the beaches during the south east monsoon (May to October).

Villas de Mer is set on the west coast of Praslin Island, close to the bustling heart of Grand'Anse.

If you can't drag yourself away from the beach, you can go to the beach kiosk and sit with your feet in the sand while you enjoy a snack, some salad or even fresh locally caught fish.

Villas de Mer hotel has 10 spacious mini suites, all sea facing, seven of which are housed in three villas while the other three are in a plantation-style house. Most bedrooms can accommodate up to two adults and one or two children.

All the suites have a choice of places to relax with a sitting area and private terrace. Standard room facilities include air conditioning, minibar, TV, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
