Explore South Africa with your family, visiting the Kruger National Park, exploring the tiny country of Swaziland, where ancient tribal customs and cultures are still being practiced to this day, followed by pony trekking in the mountain kingdom of Lesotho and Drakensberg Mountains, and then journeying down South Africa's spectacular coastline where the whole family will have some time to relax and enjoy the Indian Ocean.

After your flight lands in Johannesburg, you will be transferred to Pretoria. You have the day at leisure to enjoy all that this vibrant city has to offer.
You must meet at the Arcadia hotel at 18h30pm for the pre-departure meeting.

Departure will be early this morning to make your way to the beautiful undulating landscape of the Mpumalanga province. Your first stop will be the historical town of Pilgrims Rest where you will have some time to explore the town. In the afternoon you will visit one of the well-known waterfalls in the area, the Mac Mac Falls.

Setting off early you drive through Mpumalanga Province, stopping off at the Blyde River Canyon and Bourke's Luck Potholes, a series of unusual rock formations, before arriving in Kruger National Park in the afternoon. You take a game drive on arrival.

You enjoy two game drives through the park, in search of the Big Five. All of the amazing wildlife of South Africa can be found here and you may spot lion, rhino, elephant, giraffe and perhaps leopard and cheetah.

After a morning game drive you travel to the small kingdom of Swaziland and into Mlilwane Game Reserve. This afternoon you go on a sunset drive in search for more of the area's wildlife.

- Day 7: St Lucia (300km - 4hrs)

Today you will make your way to St Lucia, a world heritage site. You have the option of snorkelling at Cape Vidal or going on a sundowner cruise on Lake St Lucia or simply relaxing in the village.

You shall head out early this morning for a game drive in Hluhluwe/Umfolozi National Park, home to the largest population of black and white rhino in the world. Enjoy some close encounters with game in this well-known reserve. Afterwards you return to your lodge where you spend the rest of the afternoon.

Today you head inland and drive through the spectacular scenery of the Drakensberg Mountains, one of South Africa's most impressive areas.

You travel to the mountain kingdom of Lesotho, a tiny country completely surrounded by South Africa.

You head down from the mountains to the Indian Ocean Coast. The beaches here are superb and there are also some great nature reserves nearby. Kick back and relax by the Indian Ocean.

No crew will be accompanying clients at the Indian Ocean Coast as of day 14.
Most clients arrive a few days prior to day 1 of the tour. This is to give them plenty of time to enjoy all that Gauteng has to offer.
On Day 1, you should meet at Arcadia Hotel at 18h30 pm for the pre-departure meeting. This will give you all a chance to meet your fellow travellers and get to know your guides. The meeting will cover all the aspects of the trip. Please bring with you to this meeting: your passport with relevant visa's and evidence of medical and personal insurance. Please also bring the Local Payment, which must be paid in ZAR cash to the tour leader, prior to departure.
The local payment is required to cover a wide variety of our on-tour expenses, which can include National Park entrance fees, excursions and activities, certain fresh foods, vehicle tolls and entrance fees, as well as some accommodation costs whilst travelling throughout Africa.
Please note: While it is our intention to adhere to the itinerary described above, there is a certain amount of flexibility built into the itinerary and on occasion it may be necessary, or desirable to make alterations. On Day 1 of your tour, you will be advised of any amendments.
