- Day 1: Johannesburg - Lion Sands

A representative from Go2Africa will meet you at O.R. Tambo International Airport. Our rep will be able to answer any questions you have, and will then escort you to your domestic flight to the Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. Here you will be met and transferred to the Lion Sands Ivory Lodge. The transfer takes about 2 hours and will give you some insight into how rural South Africans live.
Your luxury accommodation at Ivory Lodge overlooks the Sabi River where you can see animals coming down to drink and cool down. Your private suite is almost completely glassed in, making the most of its amazing views of the reserve. Your butler will happily bring meals to your suite, so if you are looking for complete privacy, then this is the lodge for you!
At Lion Sands Ivory Lodge the 6 ultra luxurious suites each have a private wooden viewing deck, and plunge pool. The suites are 165sq.m in size and are positioned at least 20 meters apart, being linked to all areas by raised wooden walkways.

The philosophy at Lion Sands is to deliver a consistently professional and holistic safari experience covering all spheres of the eco-system, from the small insects to the mighty African elephant, in as much detail as you, the guest, may require. The senior ecologist, ranger and tracker teams have been carefully selected to make certain that your safari experience will not only meet but exceed your highest expectations.
You are woken up at daybreak for a quick cup of coffee before setting out on your morning game drive. The cooler mornings are the time of day when you are most likely to see a lot of animals, as well as experiencing magnificent African sunrises. You are then taken back to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast.
The time between breakfast and lunch is your own. Enjoy the privacy of your deck and plunge pool, or have a drink in the lounge area.
After lunch you embark on an afternoon / evening safari. Once it gets dark, your tracker brings out his spotlight and you will be amazed at what he is able to spot with his eagle eyes.
Dinner is served in the open-air dining area under a star-filled sky, and is the perfect end to an exciting day.
- Day 4: Lion Sands - Johannesburg
- Itinerary
After your morning game drive and breakfast, you are transferred back to the Kruger Mpumalanga Airport where you board your flight back to Johannesburg. In Johannesburg your exciting safari comes to an end, but your memories are sure to have you returning to Africa in no time.
