Depart from Johannesburg between 07h00 and 07h30 and head for the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.

Arrive around 13h00 and enjoy a relaxed lunch. You'll have a couple of hours to put your feet up or explore the lodge and surrounding area before leaving on a lengthy afternoon/evening drive.

Return from the drive and sit down to dinner under the stars.

Sip on a refreshing cup of coffee and get ready for an early morning game drive.

This is the perfect time to spot all sorts of different game, with the bush still recovering from a night of frenzied activity. Attention will be paid to all manner of different birds and beasts, with your experienced guide more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

After breakfast you have a few hours open to do as you please, whether you want to read a book, take a dip in the pool or embark on a brisk bush walk.

Leave on a second afternoon game drive, followed once again by a delicious meal under the clear night's sky.

Your third day at the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve will follow a similar pattern, but with such an incredible diversity of wildlife on offer, there is no shortage of different sights and sounds to experience.

Your final day at the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve starts with a game drive, during which your guide will concentrate on finding anything you may have missed previously.

The reserve is particularly famous for its amazing leopard sightings, with many encounters occurring literally little more than a few feet from the vehicle. Getting up close to one of these majestic beasts is a highlight of any holiday.

Following completion of the drive, breakfast is served, after which you have the chance to freshen up and finish packing before starting the trek back to Johannesburg.

Returning via a scenic panorama route, including Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels and Lisbon Waterfalls provides diverse and spectacular scenery. Stop for lunch and admire the views at Pilgrim's Rest along the way, finally arriving back in Johannesburg around 19h30.
