Depart early for the scenic drive to Mpumalanga. Stop along the way in Dullstroom, traverse Robbers Pass and spend time at the quaint historic town of Pilgrim's Rest. Visit Bourke's Luck Potholes and the picturesque Blyde River Canyon.

After a day of spectacular scenery, you wind your way down the escarpment to the Lowveld bushveld where you spend the night in your well-appointed bush camp just outside the Kruger Park. The tented camp blends in with the environment and offers comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms, a refreshing swimming pool, and stunning views over the surrounding bush.

Dinner tonight is cooked on the open fire.

Start the day with coffee and rusks, before setting off on a game walk. You walk for approximately 3hrs in search of game, accompanied by your knowledgeable guide and tracker.

You return to camp for a late morning brunch after which it's time to relax around the pool. In the afternoon you go on an open-vehicle game drive, which extends into a night drive. Being in the bush at night provides you with the opportunity of viewing nocturnal animals.

This evening you enjoy a hearty bush braai (South African barbecue).

Leave your bush camp early in the morning to travel the short distance to the world-renowned Kruger National Park where you spend the remainder of the day viewing animals from the high vantage point of your vehicle. During the day's game viewing you stop to enjoy a picnic lunch.

Accommodation is in bungalows at one of the park's rest camps.

After breakfast, set off on another extensive drive, giving you one last chance to spot the Big 5 and a wide variety of other animals that inhabit the park.

Leaving the Kruger behind, you head for the sleepy settlement of Hazyview. You overnight in a log cabin, which is built on stilts in a subtropical indigenous forest right on the Sabie River. Whilst here, you can enjoy swimming, forest walks and spending time in the bird hide.

After a morning spent at leisure, you begin your journey back to Johannesburg, arriving in the late afternoon.
