Albert Falls Nature Reserve

Albert Falls Nature Reserve is close to Pietermaritzburg and Cramond. Established in 1975, it offers a wide range of activities, from water-skiing and sailing to fishing, bird watching and game viewing.

Canoe races are held regularly, starting just below the falls. The area around the falls has some delightful walks. The game park captures a truly wonderful bushveld hint of old Africa and visitors can either drive or walk through the area.

Animals that may be seen include zebra, impala, blesbok, reedbuck, grey duiker, springbok, red hartebeest and oribi.
