Choice - you can choose to prepare your meals in your well equipped private kitchen, or join the other guests at the camp's à la carte restaurant.
The Power Of Nature - the spectacular Augrabies Waterfall is just a short walk from the camp.
Wildlife - the National Park is home to a huge diversity of species, from the very smallest succulents, birds and reptiles, to springbok, gemsbok and giraffe.
Augrabies Falls National Park is set near the impressive 56m Waterfall named after the Khoi term 'Aukoerebis', meaning 'Place of Great Noise'.
This 51,430-hectare National Park provides sanctuary to a diversity of species. Klipspringer and Kokerboom (quiver trees) form stark silhouettes against the African sky in a strangely unique environment. The Nama People, who have inhabited this area for centuries, have had to adapt to survie its beautiful, but harsh, conditions.
You can take a short stroll along to waterfall viewpoints near the camp, or go game viewing at leisure in your own vehicle. A range of exciting activities can be arranged from the camp, including night drives, hiking trails, and adventure trips incorporating rowing, walking and mountain biking.
The camp comprises self-catering chalets and bungalows, a caravan/camping area, curio shop, restaurant, reception centre, conference facilities, 3 swimming pools, post office and fuel & vehicle repair station.
Day visitors are welcome and day facilities are available. Pets are not allowed in the National Park. Although malaria is not very prevalent in the area, malaria prophylactics and mosquito repellents are advisable.
