Bonnievale is a little town on the banks of the Breede River in the foothills of the Langeberge ('long mountains'). With the scenic Riviersonderend mountains to the south-west, it is one of the most beautifully situated towns in the Western Cape (and that's no mean accolade).
Known as the Valley of Cheese and Wine, the little town of Bonnievale is best known for its sweet Muscatel wine, sherries, brandy, yellow clingstone peaches, apricots and cheeses.
