'Borke's Luck' is one of the three most famous viewpoints of the Blyde River Canyon in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
At the meeting point of the Blyde and Treur Rivers, water erosion has formed remarkable geological phenomena, otherwise known as the Bourke's Luck Potholes. These abstracted rock sculptures have been carved from centuries of swirling soil-laden water. These smooth rocks, streaked in white and yellow, frame dark pools of water under which invisible fish swim, their colour silenced by the thick blue surface.
This 'Borke's Luck Potholes' viewpoint forms part of the Panorama Route.
