The Agulhas Country Lodge is situated in Cape Agulhas, known as the place where the icy Atlantic Ocean meets the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

The lodge is built from natural stone, and blends in perfectly with its rugged surroundings. Relics salvaged from shipwrecks, together with antique furniture, adorn Agulhas Lodge and maintain the theme of maritime history and exploration.

You will also find safe swimming areas, as well as tidal pools within walking distance of the lodge. Other activities include whale- and bird-watching, and visits to the nearby sights.

Beautiful hiking trails surround the area, including the 1-and-a half hour Ghost Corner hiking trail that begins and ends at the lodge. You can also walk to the Agulhas Lighthouse, or explore the area on a mountain bike.

At Agulhas Country Lodge, you can sample tasty local cuisine. The owner, Sue Fenwick, has a passion for cooking, with an emphasis placed on seafood and the freshest ingredients bought daily from the harbour at Struisbaai.

The lodge is part of The Good Cooks and Their Country Houses, which selects properties with only the best service, atmosphere, and elegance.

After dinner, you can enjoy a nightcap in the bar, or relax in the library in front of a log fire.

Agulhas Country Lodge has 8 en suite bedrooms. All rooms have showers, some have baths, and 2 have jacuzzi baths.

Your room also has a private balcony, with magnificent ocean views.
