Cape Town's Camps Bay beach is long and white, with swaying palm trees lining the avenue (one of the trendiest in Cape Town) giving it an atmosphere much like the south of France.
On hot summer's days, Camps Bay beach is busy, the sea infamously cold and the vibe quintessentially cool and trendy. Cafés, bars and restaurants line the mountain side of the street and convertibles line the ocean side; it's almost impossible not to be tempted to stop for lunch or a sundowner cocktail.
Behind the festive promenade sit the rocky peaks of the Twelve Apostle mountains, on whose slopes sit Camps Bay hotels and guest houses with superb views of unique sunsets and sprawling ocean.
The Bay Hotel - You can't get closer to the action than this. Watch all the activity on the beach from the hotel pool, before wandering up or down the road to one of the many seaside restaurants.
Entabeni Guest House - This small but stylish guesthouse provides bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of upmarket Camps Bay.
Primi Royal - This small, friendly hotel is perfectly positioned for fantastic ocean views and fun nights out on the trendy Camps Bay strip.
