Cape Town International Airport

Cape Town International is located 22 kilometres (14 miles) east of Cape Town proper. The popularity of Cape Town as a world class holiday destination has resulted in this relatively small international airport expanding at a somewhat sporadic rate. Currently, Cape Town Internation Airport is undergoing extensive construction and development in preparation for the 2010 Football World Cup. This has led to some inconvenience to airport users, but the emphasis has been on continuing to run the airport safely and securely.
