During summer, you can laze at the pool with beautiful mountain vistas, visit the boutique wine-farms in and around Franschhoek, or stroll in the charming town founded by the French Huguenots and known as the gourmet capital of South Africa.

The main building of Franschhoek Country House & Villas houses the guest lounges, restaurant and cellar.
The lounge offers you the opportunity to enjoy a drink before dinner or an afternoon cocktail on the veranda whilst enjoying the beautiful mountain views.
Breakfast is served in the airy, upstairs breakfast room and private functions can be held in the exclusive cellar which is stocked with a carefully selected range of Franschhoek and other exclusive wines from the surrounding region.
Dinner at Franschhoek Country House & Villas is an experience with a difference as platters are served to share. You can choose from a selection of platters such as sashimi, oysters, meat and game platters, exclusive cheese boards and delectable dessert platters.
You will also have the opportunity to eat in the award-winning, Monneaux Restaurant reputed for its a la carte selection of contemporary cuisine.
The Country House offers 14 rooms as well as an additional 12 exclusive Villa Suites.
All rooms offer hand-crafted furniture, pure cotton linen and overhead fans. Most of the Country House rooms lead onto balconies or private patios and have fireplaces, under carpet heating and air conditioning.
Each of the large Villa Suites consists of an entrance portico leading into a spacious lounge. French doors lead you into the luxurious bedroom and both rooms open onto a large private balcony. The bedroom also has a second intimate private balcony with views over the lush gardens.
The suites boast many luxuries including independent air-conditioning, individual satellite TV, DVD player and a music system that extends from the lounge to the bedroom and bathroom. Fireplaces and underfloor heating to the lounge, bedroom, bathroom and even the showers ensure guests are cozy and warm in the winter.
Guests travelling with friends or children also have the opportunity to take up adjoining rooms with communal portico areas.
