Historical Charm - part of Heritage Square, a group of restored 18th century buildings.
Convenient Location - in Cape Town's city centre close to major tourist attractions.
Intimate - a small number of rooms with individual interiors make this a personalised boutique hotel.
The Cape Heritage Hotel forms part of Heritage Square, a group of late 18th century Dutch-style buildings that have been lovingly restored. Before the hotel, the building was a private residence, a boarding house and even a rope warehouse.
The hotel's interior is set off by high beamed teak ceilings, burnished hardwood and yellowwood floors. Beautifully exposed original wall finishes give a taste of what the building once looked like.
After several years as a corporate hotel, the Cape Heritage Hotel has been transformed into an intimate and stylish boutique hotel. Small touches and refurbishments have all been supervised by the quintessentially charming English owner, Nick Garsten.
Countless extras are offered, such as porterage and valet parking in the adjacent parking lot.

Dining
The Cape Heritage Hotel serves a delicious breakfast in its recently refurbished breakfast room, or outside in the vibrant courtyard in the summer months, where you'll eat under the shade of the oldest living vine in Cape Town.
Heritage Square also has 5 top-quality restaurants. Ranging from the young, funky and modern to the more traditional, the square has a restaurant to cater for most tastes. Dining can be enjoyed inside or al fresco in the quaint courtyard. The Square also contains a bar and a Bedouin lounge.
The square is located right in the middle of the vibrant city centre, and so there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. The Cape Heritage Hotel is a great base from which to explore Cape Town's varied nightlife, and the popular V&A Waterfront is also nearby.
Each of the 15 rooms at the Cape Heritage Hotel is individually decorated to a different theme, and the rooms in the main house are particularly special.
The rooms are sweeping and spacious, with large doors, king-sized beds and oversized sash windows. All have large en-suite bathrooms with traditional fittings and a quality range of natural local bath products.
The Cape Heritage Hotel offers you a choice between suites, luxury or superior rooms, the difference in room type being determined by size and incorporation of original features.
