Clanwilliam

Clanwilliam lies in a well watered valley where most things seem to grow well, including Rooibos ('red bush') tea. Tannin-free and rich in vitamin C, Rooibos is drunk in every Cape home and exported worldwide.

The magnificent Cederberg mountains look over the Clanwilliam valley, in which wild flowers abound. Renowned for its bizarre rock formations, the Cederberg is a barren and craggy moonscape of giant boulders, caverns and caves chock-full of bushman paintings.
