Cliff Lodge is an idyllic ocean front retreat offering guest house accommodation with great views. This award-winning guest house is the ideal choice for those looking for an intimate, relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by unspoilt nature.

The lodge's comfortable guest lounge has tea and coffee making facilities, a well-stocked honesty bar and a library of books about the area. The all-weather conservatory and seafront deck have great 180-degree views, where you can sample the local wines while watching the whales bask in the last light of the setting sun. The small splash pool is right on the cliff top overlooking the sea.

The area offers a unique eco-experience, and a variety of marine species, including whales, Great White sharks, Cape Fur seals, dolphins, and extensive bird and fish populations.

De Kelders and the surrounding area has magnificent fynbos (wild flowers), white beaches, horse riding, golf courses, wine farms and many other attractions. The Overberg spans 17 mountain ranges, dozens of quaint inland villages and some charming coastal hamlets set in an intoxicating fynbos-scented landscape.

Accommodation at Cliff Lodge comprises of 4 stylish rooms that are individually decorated. All have hairdryers, fluffy gowns, aromatherapy toiletries and satellite TV.

The North Room - seafront room, a stone's throw from the ocean with great sea and mountain views, light and spacious, with comfortable armchairs, en-suite bathroom (separate bath & shower), and double doors that open onto a seafront deck where you can relax in a deck chair while you watch whales play just meters from you.

The South Room - light and airy double room with Zen simplicity that has a queen-size bed (with crisp white linen), en-suite bathroom (shower over bath), a private outside patio that looks on to the mountains of the Cape peninsula and the rocky seashore of De Kelders, and steps that lead down past the splash pool and onto the cliffs.

The East Room - decorated in a colonial style, with a beige and black colour scheme, it has twin beds or a king-size bed (depending on what you prefer), en-suite bathroom (shower over bath), and opens on to a wooden deck that overlooks an aloe garden and the spectacular coastline of Walker Bay and the nature reserve.

The Ocean Suite - a spacious luxurious penthouse suite that's ideal for honeymooners, with a large seafront bedroom, en-suite Travertine tiled bathroom (separate shower & 2-person bath), original South African art, well-stocked mini bar, tea & coffee station, satellite TV, CD player, separate lounge and a roomy private balcony, all with stunning sea views - the ultimate whale watching spot with 180degree sea views.
