Audacia Manor, built in 1928, is a beautifully restored old family home nestled in a secluded cul de sac on the slopes of the upmarket suburb of Berea in Durban.
Inspired by English home county design, the silky wood panelling, generous verandas and gently landscaped gardens, offer you a warm welcome.
The manor house is yours to enjoy so make yourself feel at home as you sink into comfortable sofas in the spacious, cool drawing room, or explore the herb garden off the Ascot Conference Room.
Alternatively, you are welcome to choose something to read from the book-lined dining room, or maybe even enjoy a genteel game of croquet or boules on the from croquet lawn.
Breakfast is served on the shaded veranda, overlooking the landscaped gardens and the ocean beyond; you can also take morning or afternoon tea in this delightful location.
Gourmet meals, accompanied by a wide selection of fine South African wines, are available at Audacia Manor throughout the day, served in your chosen location around the house.
After a dip in the pool you could head to the Anderson Sport Bar, on tap for refreshing drinks and light meals. Before dinner you can sip a sundowner at the Verandah Cocktail Bar, whilst taking in magnificent views of the ships out in the bay.
The décor at Audacia Manor is influenced by the English home counties and this ambience is reflected in the unique styling of each of the 5 bedrooms.
As befits the manor's reputation for quality, all of the bedroom suites are appointed to the highest standards, with inviting king-sized beds, full size bar fridges, satellite TV and tea/ coffee making facilities.
The air-conditioned rooms are fully en suite and you can relax as you slip into the complimentary bath robe and slippers whilst drawing a bubble bath in the marble and mahogany bathrooms.
