Garden Route » Cities & Towns

Almost every town on the Garden Route offers something to travellers. Some are merely worth a stop while others are an absolute must for a night or two.

Knysna and Plettenberg Bay are the busiest and most popular towns of the Garden Route. Both have plenty of attractions and activities within easy reach to entertain explorers of the Garden Route.

Each of the smaller towns has something unique to offer. Wilderness and Nature's Valley are quiet spots where the tranquility and gob-smacking views are the key attractions.

George is quite commercial but retains a historical charm and easy access to many of the activities people enjoy in the area, such as mountain biking.

Other places attract a certain type of person, like Victoria Bay tucked into the folds of the mountain, which is a favourite of surfers. Its beach is sheltered and ideal for small children.
