The Garden Route's Outeniqua Choo-tjoe

The Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe is South Africa's only scheduled steam train. The 52km journey through beautiful scenery with spectacular views is a trip into days gone by.

A special way to experience a Garden Route holiday, the journey stretches between George and Knysna and is the only railway line in the world that traverses a portion of the ocean and a large lake.

Trains depart from and arrive at the Outeniqua Railway Museum in George and Knysna Station at the Waterfront.
